1) harris bank I believe is still located (HQ) in Chicago but I know they were trying to sell the building at one point. LaSalle bank was the other that WAS located in Chicago but they were bought out by the Bank of America.
2)There are many small to mid-sized banks in the area, any city has those but probably the most well known is First Midwest Bank and they are based out of Aurora or Itasca, I cant remember.
I am assuming you mean the HQ of these banks as there are litterally thousands of bank branches located throughout the third largest city in America, we are just not a bank HQ type of city like NY.
