Is there any way to get a loan other than a bank?

I am about $5500.00 in debt. Along with a car payment and a job that pays less than 9 dollars an hour, I'm having a very hard time getting rid of this debt. I a looking for a job every day that pays better, but Pensacola, Fl is basically a town for retiree's. Aside from joining the military, what can I do?

Have you tried finding a second job in the evenings or on weekends? You have a car payment so I assume you have a car. Put it to use delivering pizza in the evenings and on weekends. I hear Dominoes and Papa Johns drivers can make 12 - 20 dollars per hour. And keep looking for a new job that pays better than 8-9 dollars per hour.

Getting a loan might not be your best bet if your already having trouble paying your bills. What you wanna do is rearrange your budget. You could try to get rid of your car payment by getting a beater car. Something that'll get you back and forth to work and only costs a few hundred dollars.
I don't know how old you are, or if your married, but I'm guessing with only $5500 in outstanding debt, your young, and not married. If that is the case, take a look at a Truck Driving school. Most will help with tuition, and find you a job after graduation. Not to mention, if you are single, and you don't mind the job itself, it's a great paying job, Drivers are always in demand, and you don't really get too much time to spend the money your making, so you can just bank it....Anywho.....Just a thought.............You could also become a Drug Lord. I hear they make descent cash, and ya can't beat the benefit package...LOL...Good luck
$5500.........I can't even remember when that was all the debt I had....ROFLMAO

Credit Union, FInance Company, Internet Bank, Work in a part time job to payoff the debt. Consider a part-time job on the Internet or home business? Borrow from a friend or relative? DO NOT buy anything else on CREDIT until you reach your goal to payoff this debt. GOOD LUCK! :-)

Hello,

I would have to say try a payday loan, or peer loan. You could also try posting an add on beg for money.com. people actually donate, just tell them the whole truth about your situation. People will donate you anywhere from a dollar to 50 cents but it adds up.

You could go to a loan shark, but that probably wouldn't pay off for you. How about moving to an area with higher-paying jobs?

Consider debt consolidation through Consumer Credit Counsling (non-profit). They may be able to lower your payment and consolodate your debt. It is better than bankrupty but it can affect your credit.

The usual way is to borrow from friends and not pay them back.
