Does anyone know where I can find contact information for the Indian Blood Bank in Wichita, KS?

I asked a friend if they knew where to go to find out what kind of native american blood I have. They told me that in Wichita, KS there's a place called the Indian Blood Bank and that they should be able to take my blood and run a test (kinda like a DNA test) and be able to tell me what kind of Native American...

There is no test that can tell you what Native American tribes your ancestors would have come from, thus, what tribe you belong to and there is no test that will tell you how much Native American blood that you have. Only research of your family line can tell you these things. Sounds like someone is having some fun at your expense.

Edit***
There is no disrespect intended here, I just know this type of test is not possible. All that is possible now is to tell you, you have Native American ancestry but neither what tribe nor what ancestor provided the DNA…this is what they call deep ancestry…it could have been 20 generations ago or 200.

Two companies that tests for Native American ancestry are:

http://www.dnatribes.com/index.html

Read the material on their website and decide for yourself.

Read the answers from this question and maybe it will help you understand what we mean: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... Maybe even email some of the people who posted answers if you think it would help.

There is an Indian River Blood Bank in Kansas, and in Florida and a couple other states(per an internet search however they do not perform DNA. testing.
There is currently no DNA test that can determine specific tribal affiliations, only that there is Native American DNA present. DNA testing provides results of ancient relations not modern ones.
No one is attempting to "Dis" you friend, the people on this site for the most part are experienced
researchers and would not deliberately provide incorrect information.
I suggest that you type Indian Blood Bank, like I did and review the sites that come up.

First - No American commercial company would use the term "Indian" in a name. It would be Native American...
Second - A blood bank collects blood for medical use for persons needing replacement of their own or medical research, not any "kinda" DNA testing.
Third - There is no DNA test that can tell you "what kind of native American Tribes..." one has or "how much" or how many generations ago. Right now they can just suggest that you MAY have NA ancestry

Google NA dna testing for companies.
